Trust and Listen

I just finished my journal page from Mystele's lesson from Life Book.
I completely enjoy her style of teaching.
I always feel so relaxed and hopeful when I watch her work.

I created the background last week. Then pulled the images from the shapes I saw. It is interesting to watch where the painting goes...when I start without any real plan.
Play, relax, layer, don't get attached, and repeat!
I think I might go back and add a few more things.
But, in the meantime...just trust and listen. :)

Have a beautiful rest of the weekend.
Sharing my work with Studio Sneak Peek and Paint Party Friday.

  1. The workshop Mystele looks very interesting, I didn't know and I just signed up!

  2. Love it! Three words I need to remember!

  3. So Lovely!

Great words, colours and such a pretty face you created.

  4. Just Fabulous!!! I love the way you did the word Trust! Thanks for sharing...

  5. Love this page Jen! It has such a beautiful peaceful feeling with it. A great reminder to trust and listen! :)

  6. Your another of Mystele's students and again your work is beautiful, very lovely work!

  7. Such a beautiful painting! This has such a wonderful hopeful feeling about it.

  8. Thank you for the feedback you left in my new blog layout. I really appreciate it :)

"Trust and Listen" more than your beautiful output this week, I just needed that message Jen. Sometimes I need someone to remind me that you just have to surrender, leave things as it is and trust that everything will soon turn out fine.

  9. Mystele is a great teacher. I've been in such stress over finding my style and have learned that when I am happy and relaxed, playing and layering, then "that" must be my style. As you say, "don't get attached, trust and listen" is so true, especially when layering. Lovely work, my friend!

  10. This is SO gorgeous! I did the lesson and then . . . threw it out! humph. I wish mine looked as cool as yours but I'm gonna have to start over, lol!
I also wanted to let you know that I LOVE that water!! And am getting others into it too - my fav is the grapefruit. Thanks so much, xoxo
